Persephone, Spring Always Returns
Life is a constant beginning again.
Abducted into the underworld and returned each year to the light, the maiden Persephone became a symbol of the return of spring.
An image of hope that endures even in the midst of darkness.
I conceived this work for those who wish to surround themselves with images that remind them of life’s triumph over adversity.
This painting belongs to a tradition of classical figurative beauty that has become increasingly rare today.
